I ran a pretty regular marathon in Würzburg, the city where I live. It was my second overall and within this year and I am sure now, that I like marathons in big cities with a lot of participants much better.

I ran Chicago marathon twice. Exhilarating. Loved the people cheering us on. The most sore I've ever been. Surprised I could still walk. One of my greatest accomplishments.

Running a marathon has been in my mental bucket list for as long as I can remember. In September 2015, I finally bit the bullet and signed up for my first marathon for May 2016. I managed to rope my friends Becky, Heather and James into signing up and then the training began. I did the majority of my long training runs with Heather which helped me massively with motivation and speed! I enjoyed the majority of my training runs, however I can still vividly remember the pain of running 20 miles on the hottest day of the year and then going into work for a nightshift straight after with two fresh blisters on the soles of my feet.  Limping around work in pain and being beyond exhausted is anything but fun!  Training wasn't all bad- especially when it came to the carb loading and tapering ;) just kidding.

With all the training out the way, I took the train to Edinburgh and stayed in a lovely Airbnb with James, Precilla and Judy. I loved seeing the sights and I especially liked the tour of Edinburgh Castle. The deep fried mars bar was a pleasant surprise. I didn't have the guts to try haggis.

On the day of the marathon, I was very nervous and felt very queasy in the morning. Running the marathon wasn't as hard as I thought it would be - I think I did the right amount of training for my first marathon. Overall, it was a great success and I ended up completing my first marathon with a time of 4 hours and 9 minutes. To celebrate we all went to a pub and I had chicken and chips and a glass of red wine! Perfect.

It was Terry Fox Marathon occured in HCMC. I was really excited to be one the people stream.

The feeling of reaching the finish line is wonderful, although it was a little bit tired since I had walked for like 3 hours

Running a marathon is something I am pretty unsure I can actually do and something that will take months of training and dedication to accomplish. I consider this a "challenge myself" type of bucket list item.

Ran the SLO marathon on 4/27/2014 with Julie. Most difficult athletic challenge to date.

hardest thing ive ever had to do.!! was in so much pain but wouldnt give up. took me over 5 hours. I was so pleased to see that finish line and have all my supporters cheering me on. Was all worth it in the end. my most proudest moments are those that i have struggled most with, including this marathon.

The ONS run for fun 2014 - A 4 km run, that usually is sponsored by big companies to donate to charities such as breast cancer awareness causes and other big charities.

This was sponsored by biggest exhibitors like Statoil, Exxon etc. Everybody could first exercise with music, run around the lake and then all the way to downtown, and then get to listen to a concert. It is also an event that normally is centered around exhibitions and conferences however the run for fun marathon is an annual run that anyone and their families are invited to participate.

Thought I was going to die. But I didn't. The last 0.2 miles really matters.
