I bought a bunch of hiking gear and since I took a trip to Yosemite National Park, I decided that I would go hiking there. I had to start small so I decided on a short, flat surface of 3 miles to Mirror Lake.

Hiking takes you so many places you never would never find in a guidebook. If you can, go where the paths don't take you! We crossed rivers by felled trees, marshes and shattered rocky coastline. We had lunch on an island in the middle of river at the base of a waterfall. It's such a fulfilling experience.

Climbing two of the most iconic and harsh volcanos in the country ( Volcan de Izalco and Ilamatepec)  on the same day, after a complete week of kayaking, camping and traveling  from side to side of the worlds second smaller country in the world. pd: And doing it in crocs.

I've been hiking plenty of times before.

There seem to be two kinds of hikers, typically. The ones who are actually looking for a bit of exercise, and the ones who just want to look at pretty moss and creeks. I am definitely the latter. I appreciate the exercise, but I'll always take the smaller, easier, prettier trails.

Some favorite places I've been:  Grandfather Mountain, NC Cougar Mountain, WA Prospect Mountain, NY

Hiking without Camping, I mean.

Went on January 25, 2014 with my lovely friend Adilen. Didn't stretch long enough and underestimated our trail, so I was sore for a whole week, and got sick too. Body died, but it was a great hike. Went to Mission Peak in Fremont.

Afterwards, we ate at a buffet. hahaha

Breath-taking view up-top the Balsam mountain balds in North Carolina. Went here for Spring break and I definitely have found a new hobby, everyone should try this at least once. It was definitely harder to breathe and I even felt like I had ran a marathon as I was walking up the mountain, but taking short breaks helped. The view was amazing. March is a wonderful time to hike here (perfect weather). Will hike again very soon!

First wanted to go see Morskie oko, even tho google maps said it's 4 hours of walk, apparently it was over 7 hours, thanks to the Austrian old man that told us it would take too long. We got to the black pond though, and i dipped my feet in ice cold water. Stopped in a hiking station, 1500 m alt., nice friendly atmosphere. On way back i sprained my muscle, hooray.

My first time ever hiking was right after graduation with Jeremy and my friends Stephanie and Robert.  We went camping for an entire week and hit all the trails, some of them are as long as 13 miles.  I almost fell off a cliff and Robert saved me.  We even saw caves and waterfalls!

This is work!  We did a 6 mile hike and the first half was all uphill. Its a good thing I work out regularly because if I didn't, it would have been rough. It was a great bonding experience and I definitely want to do it again.
