I had the priviledge of visting Rome for 10 days in May of 2008. The sights were unbelievably amazing and I SO hope to go back some day!
Here are some shots of the Collesium. The whole time I walked around there, I couldn't get the images out of my head of the lions they had led beneath the floor in the passages below and the poor souls that were tossed out to their deaths. Gruesome sport, no?
The sheer history here was amazing. I sat outside and sent my brother a text that afternoon that said: "They sure don't build things like they used to!" How STRANGE to sit next to the Collesium with a BlackBerry texting?!?!?
