I've rafted before on the Kananaskis River in Alberta before, but that was a class 2 I believe, and a long time ago. Want to up the ante to a Class 5.

I am not sure if this is a suicide pact or a real idea. I have rafted the Athabasca river in Canada that was fun. Good Idea but which rivers would fit??? Chales

There are some in New Zealand. And Class 6 is actually the most dangerous. Figured I'd rein in a little bit. :P

I rafted the Nooksook river in Washington and it was a class 3 or 4. I think this would be cool :D

I did a class 3 when I was in Austria (Or maybe Switzerland) that was fun but I don't think I would be up to class five. From what I was told, only the very brave or crazy do class five.

^ Definitely fall into the crazy category.

I did this on the Ocoee River in TN a few years ago. Class V or Class VI. Lots of fun. Whitewater rafting really isn't that dangerous though, whitewater kayaking is where the danger is.

I did a class 5... by accident ^^'
We were supposed to get off the river earlier but our rafting-group was all "Let's go on! YAY!".
I believe I was around 16 at the time :)

My wife and I started with Class 3 rapids, and worked our way up to class 5. We've rafted a total of 6 times including the Nooksack in Washington, The Rio Grande in New Mexico, The Colorado in the Grand Canyon, The Salmon, Lochsa, and finally the Payette all in Idaho. The last trip almost killed me and my wife, and we've never gone again. Both of us were caught in a hydraulic that held us and a couple other people under water for a very long time. Take my advice. Stick with the class 3's. Death is not worth it.
