I've always wanted to feel the rush of going down a hill on a tube in the freezing weather. Well, scratch that, I've always wanted to see what it felt like because I grew up in an area without snow or any kind of sports aside for a few ones that didn't really interest me.
After moving to Fredericksburg, Virginia last year and having a huge snow storm we discovered a popular hilly area near our house with our new neighbors sliding down the hill on inner-tubes. At first I was a bit skeptical, I didn't know the terrain very well and once you started going down the hill on the tube you had a hard time stopping, nevertheless I finally found the courage to swallow my fear and try it out for myself.
Despite my fears it turned out to be quite enjoyable and I really didn't want to leave (but, sadly, I had to because my body was frozen after being in the snow and soaked head to toe). Hopefully, we'll have another snow storm and I'll be able to do this again!
