After a hurricane left the Flordia Keys we drove down from St. Petersburg and chartered a boat. After donning our scuba gear we dropped over the side and came onto a 6 foot hammerhead shark.
Another time we did a night dive off of West Palm Beach and came upon some sleeping nurse sharks. We were able to pet them. As long as we let them have an escape route we were in no danger.
