I saw the Beach Boys!!!
I know! I know! They're definitely not in my time... but when I was in elemenatary for rise and shine we got on the stage and sang Kokomo and ever since then I've been a fan!
I was so excited that they were going to be close. They came to Thackerville World Casino... and I definitely bought tickets and made the drive down!
The down fall is that is wasn't the full band... a couple of them have died, but there were two of the originial guys and one of their sons and then a couple other guys... BUT! They did an amazing job! They sounded like they did 40 years ago! I was so impressed.
They played all of their main hit songs. When they were done they got a standing ovation (of course) and then we all started chanting Kokomo so they came back out and performed it... It was THE BEST moment ever. I was shaking. It was just phenomonal.
This was definitely a fantastice first concert... UNFORGETABLE! There were couples dancing in the ailses and old guys pretending to surf all around. There was even this cute little old lady, about 80 years-old, who was doing the twist.
AMAZING! If they come near you, you really should go see them! If anything for the older people who are having the times of their lives!
