I was in Scotland but I couldn't bring myself to try hangs. I did try blood pudding though. They have black and white......I didn't care to finish it!

white pudding has no blood and isn't that bad. It's just a different kind of sausage. Black pudding is awful. And haggis tastes like spicy meatloaf. It's not bad, i just couldn't bring myself to eat the entire little bowl of it. Sheep innards cooked in sheep's stomach isn't the most appetizing thing if you let yourself think about it.

I'm going to go against the grain and say black pudding is actually quite nice (especially as part of a fry up with egg, beans, and bacon)- it's just a bit too rich to eat a lot of. Never tried haggis, but as my mum loves it I'm sure I would. Then again, I'm not squeamish about food!

Never tried haggis (as I'm guessing it's slightly different than black pudding, which I have), but black pudding is great if done properly (it must be spicy) and eaten with the right stuff (try pickled pumpkin! yes, seriously.) I may be visiting my sister in Scotland some time soon, so I'll try to eat your share as well ;D

Haggis is fantastic. Seriously, it's one of my favourite foods which is a little stereotypical of me :)

Don't think about what you're eating and it's fine.

I like haggis. I've had it twice while in Scotland. It tasted like sausage to me. I preferred the homemade haggis made by the owner of the bed & breakfast I was staying at to the haggis served to the big tourist groups attending a Scottish ceilidh.

Hi Emma. Being Scottish I can totally recommend haggis, you've got to try it at least once and I'm sure you'll love it. Like the other's say just don't think too much about it and enjoy. My favourite way to have it is chicken stuffed with haggis in a whiskey sauce (I know 2 stereotypes at once!), haggis pakora is also great. Black pudding is the worst, never tried white pudding but fruit pudding is awesome!! Hope you enjoy!!

Hi, would just like to add that Stornaway Black Pudding is absolutely delicious. I wouldn't touch any of the other rubbish black puddings but that one is something special. Highly recommended for the bucket list!

I loved Haggis!! And all things scottish! Dont think about whats in it.. you would be suprised what other common food is made up from the leftover parts of sheep & cows :)

I am Scottish and also vegetarian because I hate the texture of meat....however I used to love haggis. I think it's much more palatable than sea food for example. If someone as fussy as me likes haggis it must be pretty good! You should go for it and try some good whiskey too! X
