I was in Scotland but I couldn't bring myself to try hangs. I did try blood pudding though. They have black and white......I didn't care to finish it!

white pudding has no blood and isn't that bad. It's just a different kind of sausage. Black pudding is awful. And haggis tastes like spicy meatloaf. It's not bad, i just couldn't bring myself to eat the entire little bowl of it. Sheep innards cooked in sheep's stomach isn't the most appetizing thing if you let yourself think about it.

I'm going to go against the grain and say black pudding is actually quite nice (especially as part of a fry up with egg, beans, and bacon)- it's just a bit too rich to eat a lot of. Never tried haggis, but as my mum loves it I'm sure I would. Then again, I'm not squeamish about food!

Never tried haggis (as I'm guessing it's slightly different than black pudding, which I have), but black pudding is great if done properly (it must be spicy) and eaten with the right stuff (try pickled pumpkin! yes, seriously.) I may be visiting my sister in Scotland some time soon, so I'll try to eat your share as well ;D

Haggis is fantastic. Seriously, it's one of my favourite foods which is a little stereotypical of me :)
Don't think about what you're eating and it's fine.

I like haggis. I've had it twice while in Scotland. It tasted like sausage to me. I preferred the homemade haggis made by the owner of the bed & breakfast I was staying at to the haggis served to the big tourist groups attending a Scottish ceilidh.
